Terms of Service
The rules for using GoPickStack. What we publish, how you may reuse it, how the AI Copilot and API work, our liability limits, and governing law.
1.Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of GoPickStack at https://www.gopickstack.com and any related page, API, or service we operate. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
GoPickStack is operated by Muhammad Shadab Shams, an individual in Punjab, Pakistan trading under the name GoPickStack. GoPickStack is not incorporated.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use this site or buy anything from us. The site is written for people making business software purchasing decisions, which is not a children's use case.
3.What this site is, and what it is not
GoPickStack publishes independent software reviews, comparisons, and buying guides. It is an editorial publication. It is not a software vendor, we do not resell licenses, and we are not party to any contract between you and any vendor we write about.
Our content is informational. It is not legal, financial, tax, or procurement advice, and it is not a substitute for your own evaluation. Software prices, features, limits, and availability change constantly and often change without notice. We verify pricing on a 15-day cycle and publish when we last checked, but always confirm on the vendor's own site before you sign anything or commit budget.
4.Affiliate relationships and editorial independence
GoPickStack is reader-supported. When you follow one of our outbound links and later buy, we may receive a commission from the vendor or the network that referred us. The price you pay is unchanged. This is disclosed in detail in our Affiliate Disclosure, and we also label it at the point of the link.
Our scoring rubric, ratings, pros and cons, and every verdict in every comparison are set independently of any commercial relationship. A vendor cannot pay for a rating, cannot pay to remove criticism, and cannot pay for a mention outside a clearly labelled sponsored placement. We do not accept payment to change a score.
A sponsored placement is a commercial arrangement, not an endorsement. Where we run one it is labelled as sponsored on the page itself, it does not enter our scoring, and the labelling cannot be removed by the sponsor.
5.Sponsorship and paid services
We sell a small number of commercial services through our Sponsor page: a fast-track paid review audit, a claimed vendor profile, and category partner banners. These are services we sell, not endorsements we give.
They do not and cannot alter an existing review, a rating, or a comparison verdict. A sponsor's purchase of a claimed profile is not a review, and we do not represent vendor-supplied claims as independently tested unless we have tested them.
Terms, refunds, and cancellation for these services are in our Refund and Billing Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6.The AI Copilot
The Copilot is an automated tool that answers questions using our published review data and, with your consent, a third-party language model. It is a convenience, not an authority.
- It can be wrong. It can misstate a price, misattribute a feature, or produce a fluent answer with nothing behind it. Verify anything you rely on against the review it cites.
- It has no opinions we do not have. It draws on our own published scores and pricing. It does not independently test software.
- You own what you type. We claim no rights over your questions. See AI Features Policy for how the technology works and what leaves your browser.
- You may not use it to break the law or harm people. Prohibited uses are in [Acceptable Use](#acceptable-use).
7.Your licence to use our content
Our reviews, comparisons, scoring, images, and editorial writing are our work and we retain copyright in them. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read the site and to share links to it.
That licence does not include reproducing substantial portions of our writing, scraping the site to republish it, or using our content to train a machine-learning model, unless you have our written permission. Quoting a short excerpt with attribution and a link is fine and we do not require permission for it.
Vendor names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a vendor in a review is nominative use, not a claim of affiliation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vendor we write about unless we say so explicitly and label it.
8.API, MCP server, and data reuse
GoPickStack publishes a public REST API, an OpenAPI document, an MCP server, and machine-readable content. We provide these deliberately, so you do not need permission for ordinary programmatic use.
- You may call the public endpoints, build your own tools on top of the results, quote our published scores and pricing with attribution and a link, and redistribute our factual data (tool name, vendor, category, published rating, price, feature summaries) in your own product or article.
- You may not present our editorial writing as your own, remove attribution from the factual dataset, use the API to build a competing review site, or attempt to exceed the rate limits in a way that degrades the service for others.
- Attribution is required if you redistribute the factual data. A line reading *Data from GoPickStack* with a link is sufficient.
- Availability is best-effort. See Content and API Licence for the full terms, including uptime expectations and how to report abuse.
9.Content you send us
If you submit a tool, a correction, a sponsorship enquiry, or a message through any form on this site, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and publish that content as part of the site, including in excerpts and in our public data. You keep ownership of what you wrote.
You confirm that you have the right to send us that content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, contain malware, or impersonate another person or organisation. We may decline to publish, edit for clarity, or remove anything, with or without notice.
We do not accept guest reviews for payment. We do not sell contributor placement. If anyone offers to pay you for a review here, that is not us, and we will remove it.
10.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
We may suspend access, without notice where a breach creates immediate risk, if you breach this section. Repeated or deliberate rate-limit evasion is treated as a breach of these terms.
- Use the site or its API in a way that breaks the law, or infringes anyone's rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected system.
- Probe, scan, load-test, or otherwise attack the infrastructure without our written permission.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the rate limits, the consent controls, or any security feature.
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or use automated means to republish our editorial content.
- Transmit malware, or use the AI Copilot to produce unlawful content, to impersonate anyone, or to harass.
- Misrepresent our content, quote us out of context, or imply endorsement by a vendor that does not exist.
11.Third-party links and vendor sites
This site links to vendor homepages, pricing pages, and signup flows we do not control. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours. We are not responsible for what happens there, and following an affiliate link does not make us responsible for a vendor's product, billing, or conduct.
12.Copyright complaints
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, follow the process in our Copyright and DMCA Policy. We act on valid notices promptly and we will tell you what we did.
13.No warranties
This site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We work hard to keep our reviews accurate and we re-verify pricing on a 15-day cycle. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, that any feature will always work, or that content will always be current. Vendor pricing, features, and terms change without notice and are outside our control.
Nothing on this site is professional advice. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a purchasing decision.
14.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Muhammad Shadab Shams and any contributor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of this site, including a decision made on the basis of our content.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of your use of this site is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights under the consumer protection law of your country of residence are unaffected.
15.Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Muhammad Shadab Shams against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site or its API, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.
16.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
Before litigation, please email us. Most disputes are a misunderstanding about a review or a billing question and are resolved in a message. If a dispute cannot be settled that way, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there. This clause does not remove that right.
17.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top reflects the current version and every substantive change is recorded in our changelog. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If you disagree, stop using the site.
Material changes that reduce a right you hold will be announced on the site before they take effect, not only in a silently updated footer.
18.Contact
